Floor materials are to be selected to suit the use conditions and the function of the area. Materials indicated below are the preferred floor finishes required in spaces throughout the school. ‘User’ performance requirement is given rather than the technical specification.

Enclosed circulation area finishes are to match the majority of spaces served by that area
Anti-static doormats are recommended at the external access to carpeted circulation areas eg Administration corridors, General Learning corridors and Library Entry. They are NOT required for individual Home Bases or General Learning Spaces etc. with external access
Unenclosed circulation floor finishes will generally be broomed concrete
